De Lima to Duterte: Mga drug addict at kalaban sa politika ay hindi mga anay na dapat puksain

Image from kapamilya.com

In a latest news article from Politiko, here is what Senator Leila De Lima said in referring to Duterte's way in eradicating illegal drugs in the country. She also said about Duterte's way of eradicating his political foes like her.

"These are human beings. He should address the root causes of the country’s problems instead of harassing and killing people."

"Peace-loving Filipinos should remind the President that suspected drug addicts and political dissidents are not termites that he can ‘exterminate to save the house."

"Violence solves nothing."

"President Duterte should understand that peace-building is a painstaking process and that there are legitimate grievances such as injustice, poverty and lack of economic opportunities fuelling insurgency in the country."

"But it’s not yet too late in going back to the negotiating table if the government is really sincere in seeking non-violent means to address the communist rebellion in the country."

"Unless, that is, Duterte’s true intention is to establish an authoritarian regime that eliminates dissent and kills democracy."

P0.85 / kwh increase in MERALCO this month

Image from Radio Inquirer

P0.85 per kilowatt hour will apply for MERALCO's extra charge this month in March.

In MERALCO's statement, P0.97 / kwh should have an extra charge this month.

But in order not to be too heavy for consumers, P0.12 / kwh will be in effect only in the next month of April, thus it will be added on the next monthly billing.

Due to such increase, consumers whose electricity consumption is 200 kilowatt hours per month has an additional P170 on the bill.

At P255, the consumption is 300 kilowatt hours per month, P340 is consuming 400 kilowatt hours per month and P425 is higher if consumption is 500 kilowatt hours per month.

Duterte returns subpoena powers of PNP Chief, CIDG, with new law

President Rodrigo Duterte has already signed the law restoring the power of certain Philippine National Police (PNP) officials to issue a subpoena on the cases being investigated.

Under the Republic Act 10973 signed by President Duterte on March 1, the PNP chief, PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) director and CIDG deputy director for administration are required to call or summon individuals and documents required in the investigation of the PNP in the holding cases.

It is enacted that the PNP-CIDG can file an indirect contempt of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) to any person who refuses or fails to comply with the subpoena.

Such law was promulgated by Sen. Panfilo Lacson, former PNP chief and current chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs.

Here's a lady who was about to be given a ticket for parking violation from traffic enforcers. Unfortunately for the enforcers, the lady, who happens to be a lawyer, at least according to the Facebook post of Community TV, drove her car away to escape.

SO the traffic boys chases her until she was caught.

Now this incident happened. You judge my brothers and sisters.
