More groups and court employees, requesting CJ Sereno to RESIGN!


In line with the flag raising ceremony today in the Supreme Court, workers and judges call for more groups to ask Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno to resign as Chief Justice.

Today, SC employees will wear red shirt as today's Red-Shirt Monday, a call for CJ Sereno to drop her position as CJ.

In a statement released today, among groups ask CJ Sereno to resign are the Philippine Judges Association (PJA), Regional Trial Court (RTC) organization with 1,200 incumbent members across the archipelago headed by President and Marikina RTC Judge Felix Reyes, and the Philippine Association of Court Employees (PACE) nationwide organization of employees of courts.

The Supreme Court Assembly of Lawyer Employees (SCALE), the Supreme Court Employees Association (SCEA) and the Sandiganbayan Employees Association (SBEA) have also expressed support for the call.

Here is the letter of the group:

"We are the full force of the Judiciary, which includes judges, writers and staff under your administration, pleading with You, our dear Chief Justice, Maria Lourdes P.A. Serenity Make that the timely and appropriate sacrifice for our Judiciary, the Institution that you have spent time and love of the past years. We are calling for the sake of the whole Filipino community, that you have dropped out of position as Chief Justice.
