President Rodrigo Duterte advised residents and stakeholders in Boracay Island not to give government a hard time to resolve environmental and sanitary issues on the island.
President Duterte said that everyone's cooperation is needed to avoid the problem and to restore the former beauty of Boracay.
According to President Duterte, he will not be tempted to arrest protesters against government action, specifically by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
At the same time, President Duterte also reminded the judges to think a thousand times before issuing a temporary restraining order (TRO) at any governmental step and not just interfering with them.
President Duterte assured him that he would not be held accountable for the purpose of repairing the Boracay Island problem.
