Number of police complained about corruption has dropped - CITF



The number of complaints received by the PNP Counter Intelligence Task Force (CITF) has dropped by almost 99 percent.

Complaints received by CITF are through text messages and calls from complainants.

According to PNP CITF chief PSSupt. Jose Chiquito A total of 10,381 text messages complaints against the police have been reviewed and at 1,535 here are complaints to police personnel.

Far in the media showed a "graphic table" where the number of complaints they received against the police actually dropped.

Although the number of complaints has dropped, CITF must work on more than 1,500 policemen involved in various illegal activities.

The investigation is ongoing and they are looking for evidence against them so they can access the entrapment operation.

It added that over the past 12 months when CITF operated at 60 police scalawags they were arrested due to involvement in various illegal activities.

While 65 others were prosecuted by administrative cases.
