Spokes Roque Gets Mad at Rappler: We Are Just Enforcing The Law!

The Malacañang Palace has argued that the government is only enforcing the law when the Bureau of Internal Revenue filed a P133 million tax evasion case against the online news organization Rappler.

According to Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, if there is a Rappler unpaid tax, they should be legally accountable.

Omidyar Network's foreign companies have already identified their Philippine Depository Receipts which account for 1.5 million dollars to the four Filipino Rapplers.

Roque said that when he got the chance to receive 1.5 million dollars, he would no longer pay for his taxes.

"If there is an unpaid tax payable and if I have earned such a huge amount of 1.5 million dollars, I will pay my taxes," Roque said.
