Nobody had expected that President Duterte can deliver funny statements like a true stand-up comedian. He was and is popularly known as a Mayor, a leader, who speaks words with conviction, especially when he is angry he combines a most outrageous statements mixed with cursing and swearing, especially to his critics. But nobody would have ever thought that he can make jokes and funny stories, even in a most respected speech, a state of the nation address, SONA. And in his speeches he tells stories that not just the audience in a venue would laugh, but the majority of Filipinos in front of the TV in their homes, I would believe because me can laugh too.
His funny stories began at the height of the campaign period in the 2016 Presidential Elections. This then follows almost all of his speeches he would crack jokes, even half the time of his entire speech.
